aaCamprodon valley is placed in the Oriental Pyrenees, just where mountains begin to loose height on the way to the Mediterranean see. This enclave can be considered as strategic from the natural point of view: on one hand, high mountains close it, with altitudes exceeding 2.800 m, in the Bastiments; and, on the other one, areas like Beget and Hortmoier valley only 400 m high.
aaVariety of climates and altitudes are reflected in the vegetation and in the fauna of the valley; from the oaks up to the rodondendros; from the wild boar up to the isard, the hamster or the partridge nival. aaMust be added to this ecological diversity an important implantation of Romanesque monuments, with one church in each village, besides a Roman route and several Romanesque bridges. aaProducts presented in this page to do vacations on foot allow to find one tracing for each epoch of the year, from 4 to 7 days long, visiting an important variety of valleys, heights and villages; enjoing natural and human diversity of this valley. |
